Investment management

Our approach to investing is designed to align your financial resources with your longer-term objectives. This means your investments are dictated by your meaningful objectives and not by meaningless financial forecasts.

But how best to make your money work for you?

Our investment process is born out of decades of investment evidence and academic research. We evaluate which kind of investments have historically been most likely to produce the returns you need to achieve your longer-term objectives. This is the essence of constructing an effective diversified portfolio of investments.

We are free to select investments best suited to the needs of our clients, providing access to the best companies from around the globe. We do not entertain ‘flavour of the month’ ideas or things with no proven track record.

It is then a matter of helping you stay on track through the ups and downs of your investing lifetime; in the long-term, that is the most important thing we can do for you.

Your key concerns

  • We don’t know whether our investments are right for us and what this means for our future.

  • We are not sure how to start investing.

  • We are concerned that our cost of living is being eroded by inflation.

  • We are concerned about the tax we are paying on our savings and investments.

Our investment philosophy

Evidence based investing is an approach based on research and observing markets. The approach uses decades of independent, peer-reviewed research and analysis. This evidence is then used to make considered investment decisions. Evidence based investing is a passive investment strategy. Active funds managers look to ‘beat the market’ by predicting which companies will be successful in the future; our approach is in direct contrast to an active investment strategy. Markets are hard to beat in the long term, this is why an evidence based philosophy sits at the heart of Strategic Wealth Management.
