Cash deposits are not usually best suited for longer term investing, however at times we accumulate funds that whilst not required for immediate use need to be kept available over shorter timeframes in bank or building society deposits. We may receive an inheritance or sell an asset such as a property or business or have responsibility for managing cash on behalf of a business or for other family members as a Trustee or under a Power of Attorney.
